Banjara Inspirations – Part Two

Using the typical stitch patterns of Banjara cloths, Linda demonstrates how you can complete your own version. She’ll advise you on suitable threads, simple patterns to try and how to finish your piece with a binding and embellishment.

You will need:

  • A very simply pieced top. Linda used a loose weave linen fabric.
  • Backing fabric
  • Single strand embroidery threads
  • Cowrie shells (optional)
  • Basic sewing kit to include a chenille needle
  • Fabric for binding
