Fabrics can be layered to create painterly collage effects. In this show Linda’s using a needle-felting machine to punch the layers before securing with stitch.

To work along you’ll need:

• An assortment of fabrics including woollen or felt pieces, scrims, muslins and chiffon
• Scissors
• Basic sewing kit
• Suitable threads
• Needle felting machine
