How to Bind a Quilt

 

Join Laura in the studio for a step-by-step demonstration of how to bind a quilt. She’ll show you how to mitre the corners and hand finish the binding for a perfect result. She’ll also how you how to add a hanging sleeve so you can display your quilt on the wall.

To work along with Laura you’ll need:

Your quilt, squared up and ready to bind
Sewing machine and sewing kit
Binding strips (1 1/2″ wide x perimeter of the quilt + a bit extra)
Fabric for sleeve (9″ x width of quilt)
