You will only need a few basic items to try this out for yourself. She illustrates the technique with a colourful example of log cabin patchwork before moving on to a star in a star design. The second video shows how she decides on a design for hand quilting the geometric shapes of the star block using complementary colours of thread to enliven the fabric choices.
